Bridge Module #3
Facing Your Fears
Do you ever feel afraid? Great leaders are able to identify, name, and leverage their fears in healthy ways to drive performance. Being afraid is a normal response to life on earth. Fear invites us to prepare and deliver. Fear drives action, and often that action requires courage. Using fear strategically helps us avoid panic responses and choose smart ones instead. Deadlines create anxiety that pulls us out of complacency to deliver outcomes. Bottom line is great leaders are able to work through their fear rather than avoid or minimize it.
